Paediatric First Aid

This comprehensive course is designed for anyone working in a setting that involves children and young people. It provides 12 hours of paediatric first aid training and is usually delivered over two days, allowing time to absorb the learning and build confidence gradually.

The course is suitable for a wide range of children’s settings, including nurseries, schools, secondary schools, sports groups, activity centres and any environment where children are present. The training focuses on helping participants recognise emergencies, respond calmly and provide the correct care when it matters most.

The course includes
• essential paediatric first aid skills
• CPR for infants and children
• managing injuries, illnesses and emergency situations
• clear guidance on decision making and next steps
• practical scenarios to build confidence

This course is ideal for those new to paediatric first aid or anyone who wants a solid foundation delivered in a supportive and inclusive way.

Schools and childcare settings: From September 2026, Benedict’s Law is expected to place greater emphasis on allergy awareness and emergency response. Please ask us about adding allergy and anaphylaxis awareness to your staff training.

Flexible Blended Paediatric First Aid Training

To help schools, nurseries and childcare settings manage staff training around the working day, Jill can offer a blended Paediatric First Aid course. This includes 6 hours of online learning followed by 6 hours of in-person practical training.

This gives staff the required hands-on practice while reducing the amount of time they need to be away from their setting.
